Slack Ecology
Manifesting as an immersive, scenographic distillation of the last several years of his practice, Tom Borgas’ "Slack Ecology" is an improvised mesh of vibrantly coloured images/objects that celebrate the multilayered interdependence of people and things. A playful collection of icons, follies, and sculptural/graphic exercises, this suite of work splinters off from a vigorous process of making– its off-the-shelf formalism born out of an ensemble of materialities that serve as a reminder of the coextensive nature of virtual and physical realities.
