Working within a small team from a seaside studio in Australia, Iggy & Lou Lou is informed by a deep respect for traditional slip cast-making processes. Each piece is meticulously made by hand with a commitment to a minimal environmental footprint and a devotion to creating handmade, cherished ceramics that last a lifetime and beyond.

“We love getting our hands dirty, making everything ourselves in our studio using the highest quality locally sourced clay & glazes. With a Masters of Ceramics behind us, there is a strong emphasis on mixing the latest in ceramic technology with traditional making methods. Our clay is mixed with quartz which gives the ceramic body extra strength, a silky sheen, and a warm white tone.

Texture is everything and working with clay provides endless textural possibilities. It has that magic ability to appear both raw and refined at the same time - simultaneously primal and luxurious, its evolution is limitless..”
