Additional Info

Eleanor Alice is a visual artist based on Kaurna Country, South Australia.

Alice’s practice spans painting, ceramics, works on paper and sculpture. Using realistic and abstract interpretations of the world around Alice, she employs deeply symbolic, metaphorical processes found within diverse acts of making to explore her experience of life.

For over 20 years, Alice has exhibited publicly in community and commercial spaces and has work held in private collections across Australia and Europe.
Her work has been selected for numerous prize finalist exhibitions, including The Heysen Prize for Landscape, The Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize and The Tatiara Art Prize.

Alice has written for Artist Profile, Artshub, and most recently, she was invited to present new work for Neoterica, a group exhibition showcasing mid-career South Australian artists curated by Ray Harris alongside the Adelaide Festival.

Alice’s practice has been supported by a Guildhouse Catapult Mentorship with esteemed international artist William Mackinnon. Eleanor is the Head of Painting at Adelaide College of the Arts, TAFE SA and an Adjunct Lecturer at Flinders University.
