MICHAEL NEEDHAM

BIOGRAPHY

Michael Needham is a Kyneton based visual artist and lecturer whose practice primarily incorporates drawing and sculptural installation.  His work explores myth, belief and residual melancholia in the contemporary psyche. 

In 2010 Needham completed his PhD in Fine Art.  Selected recent exhibitions include, Gothic Beauty, Bendigo Art Gallery, (2018); Landscape with Grave, Mildura Arts Centre, (2016); Finitude at Plimsoll, Tasmania College of the Arts (2015); Long Shadowed Land, La Trobe Uni VAC, Bendigo, (2012); and Visual Horizon (AIRY Gallery, Yamanashi, Japan, 2012).
