STEFAN GEVERS

Biography

Stefan Gevers has exhibited his work extensively since 1998 after moving from The Netherlands to Australia. His work was recently included in the “Pick Me Up” exhibition in London. Watercolour has been Gevers main medium throughout his Art career. Gevers work is in private and public collections including the National Australia Bank collection, Artbank, State Library of Victoria, State Library of Queensland and private collections.


Microclimate

Stefan Gevers’ work with watercolour typifies the creative and design style of his original homeland with his approach to minimalism and subtraction. He takes a contemporary approach to working with watercolour on paper. 

This exhibition is an exploration of patterns in Microclimates, dictated by the unpredictable characteristic qualities of watercolour.
