Advanced Sculpting and Resin Casting Techniques with Jud Wimhurst
Over a period of three days students will be able to design and model a small-scale sculpture, approximately 15cm x 15cm x 15cm or less, using professional grade, oil-based clay similar to the medium used in the film and special effects industries. Participants will learn how to make a reusable silicone mould of their sculpture from which they will cast a plaster version of the clay sculpture that they can then finish, paint and keep.
In the 3 sessions Jud Wimhurst will be covering:

• Materials and techniques
• Design and concept
• Construction and modelling techniques
• Silicone mould making
• Plaster cast
• Cleaning up casts
• Finishing techniques
This course is intended for students who have low to moderate sculpture experience (i.e. have worked with clay before).
All materials and tools required will be supplied.
3 x days of 5.5 hours each (with a one hour lunch break)
$599 per student including materials.
